Happy Easter!

Well it's been a while since we last camped.  An unexpected trip out of town had us missing February's campout.  So we got the itch and low & behold...the TC was in the driveway for another weekend getaway.

We stayed close to home again...leading us to Usery Mountain Recreational Park.  A whole whopping 30 minutes from door to door.  Wouldn't you know it, we ended up in the same campsite, #75.  Can't complain, it's one of our favorites.  After settling in, enjoying the views, and making dinner, we sat around a wonderful campfire.  Steve does a great job keeping it burning just right.  I, however, forgot the camera...sorry, no pics the first night.

Saturday we woke up to another beautiful day and decided to check out the Wind Cave.  A great hiking trail in the park that leads up the side of the mountain.  First I have to make a quick trip home and get the camera, lol.

Steve made dinner Saturday which not only looked good but tasted great!  Can't beat turkey & gravy over rice.  We really enjoy cooking in the TC and look forward to seeing what George & Mrs. Tioga fix while on the road.  Check out George here... 7 ys. Tioga and George

Started the night with another fantastic fire, some chit chat about life and the adventures we'd like to take, while watching the moon rise over the mountain made for a memorable evening.  Time always seems to fly during the best times.  I couldn't help but take a picture of our friend sitting there basking in our fire light.  Even the last of the fire made for a pretty picture.

Time to head inside and button down the hatches.  Good thing we did too!  The wind was atrocious and many were up in the middle of the night putting down their awnings.  Hopefully there wasn't too much damage.

Happy Easter!
