So I've been sitting at my computer ALL afternoon trying to figure out
how to work imovie on my mac...
Finally it's done!
This song is by Kinzel & Hyde called Hear me talking!
I had the pleasure of meeting them while I lived in Portland since this is where they are located. They play the local bars but mainly the Blues Festivals around the area.
When I decided I wanted to learn how to play the harmonica, Lynnann allowed me over to her home while she went through the basics for me. Holy smokes! It's hard! So guess what? I never learned.
Ya I know bummer since it's my favorite instrument.
The pics are of Lynnann & Stu (her partner). The dogs are mine (filler) and the Dodge is a pic I took while out looking at RV Parks a couple weeks ago.
Enjoy! Follow up video coming shortly!

The harmonica looks like it would be really hard to learn to play. You would need lots of lung power.
It is, however, sweet music.

Ya Gerri, there's more to it than just blowing, LOL! One hole can make like 5 or 6 notes depending on if you blow, draw or bend.
They play a lot of old school blues. Getting the one on one with Lynn was interesting. Hearing about her struggles yrs ago and how she taught herself to play is fascinating. It's amazing how music can save people from a hard life.
I love that she's helping keep blues in school. It gives the kids another option rather than the Brittany Spears junk!
Oh my gosh yes!! I am a retired teacher and I think that it is really wonderful that she is keeping blues in the schools.... great! We had a music teacher in the last school I taught in that really brought kids out of that hip hop line of music. She was great!
I never realized that one hole could make 5 to 6 notes. Interesting. I felt like it would be extremely difficult.

Finally got a fast enough connection to check your video out. You did great! I was doing the whole head roll thing along with the music.
When I was a kid, I wanted to play the kazoo. Guess what...it was easy ;) hehe!
