Mocha Fraps...

Since I'm having difficulties loading a video about the
bruise I got the other day I figured I go ahead and
teach you how to make a Mocha Frap.

BEWARE!

These things are sooo addictive!

For starters, I buy my frap mix online from
called Big Train Blended Ice Coffee (in Mocha Flavor).

When you spend X amount, shipping is free!
So I buy 5 bags at once and they come in a box like this...

My cost...$90.95
but 5 bags last a long time.

I drink one (sometimes 2) a day.
If I watch myself one bag lasts a month.
That's less than $20 a month.  Try spending that at
Starbucks and see how far you get.

Once the bag is opened, I store the powder mix in a small bucket.

It takes 1 1/2 scoops per drink.  Be sure to request a
scooper in the comments section if you decide to order.
Sometimes they throw one in the box and sometimes they don't.

Next I blend my ice cubes in my ice crusher
(picked this up from Costco),
add my milk & frap mix to my cup.

Then I add the ice and pack it down.

Fill it to the top!

BLEND!!!

On my Magic Bullet!

And there you have it!

I like to save the green & blue straws
til last since green's my favorite color ;)

Enjoy!

ps.  If you want to substitute the milk for Starbucks Frap Drink
they taste really good too!

but it does add more cost and calories.
Both I'm trying to avoid.

Cheers!  Happy Drinking ;)

Hey, Merri, I had another thought that you might like. I don't throw out leftover coffee. I pour it in an ice tray and freeze it. I use the cubes for iced coffee (it doesn't weaken as they melt) or I drop 5-6 in a cup and microwave it for a quick caffeine fix. When I have enough cubes frozen, then I pour the left over coffee into a container and chill it to use for iced coffee or fraps. This morning, I used the frozen coffee cubes to make a frap, and boy, is it good!

8 coffee cubes
about 1/2 cup cold coffee
a couple tablespoons of cream
a glug of vanilla (or other) syrup for flavoring (optional, but I used it this AM, and don't you like that technical measurement, "glug"??)

That looks great - I'll have to give it a try! By the way, you asked about getting ebooks from the library on my blog the other day. Here's a link to a post I wrote about that:
